SLS
The Supported Living Service (SLS) assists Regional Center consumers with developmental disabilities to live independently in the community and in their own homes.
What is SLS?
For over 30 years, the Supported Living Service (SLS) has been helping Redwood Coast Regional Center Consumers to live independently at home and to participate in the community.
By assisting with all aspects of independent living, our Care Managers and Direct Support Professionals provide those we serve with the opportunity to choose where they want to live, who they want to associate with, and what activities they would like to participate in.
Supported Living works cooperatively with consumers and their supports to establish a service based on the needs and desires of that individual.
Who’s Eligible?
To qualify, individuals must meet these criteria:
Age: At least 18 years old.
Residence: Live in Ukiah, Willits, Redwood Valley, Hopland, or Anderson Valley (including Philo).
Be a Redwood Coast Regional Center consumer.
Live in your own home or desire to (with assistance).
Be willing and able to work with us.
What can SLS provide help with?
- Locating suitable housing
- Organizing home maintenance
- Roommate planning and conflict resolution
- Arranging and tracking medical and other appointments
- Help completing paperwork
- Participation in community recreation
- Meal planning
- Cooking courses
- Dealing with public agencies
- Hiring and directing household workers
- Shopping
- Physical fitness courses
- Assistance with relocating into the community

Cost/Funding Sources
Fees are covered by the Regional Center for eligible consumers.
Where is SLS Located?
SLS is located at our main Community Care office at 301 S. State Street in Ukiah.
What are your hours?
SLS is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
